In celebrating the joy of being a girl, I incorporate female portraits as both the portal for expressing my thoughts and as a reputation of beauty. I like painting things that are pretty and in our differences we are just that. These paintings are not intended just for ladies but they certainly are about us. Spotlight's On...

"Are you ready to let go?"

Are you ready to let go of your heart? It doesn't have to be romantic but could also apply to an emotional investment of any kind -- work, friends, personal goals, etc. etc. The women in the painting represents you. Is she holding onto her heart or letting it go? If you look closely, you can see the word LOVE. The "L" is her right arm, the "O" is the heart, the "V" is her left arm and the "E" is her hair. Our heart is our greatest gift. I can't help but include a little logic and pose the question...What is the "rate of return" on your emotional investments?
