Rachel's Art Bio:

Each person has a story to tell. Rachel's artwork expresses personal reflections of living and loving and serves as a tribute to the beauty in all of us. She explains, "It is through the complexity of life we are given the opportunity to define ourselves. Answers are found once we choose to listen and begin to understand the true intentions of the heart."

Principle features of simplistic forms and figures are created by contrasting bold and often times metaphoric colors. Embracing femininity and the modern portrayal of women many paintings incorporate ladies as a representation of beauty. Pop Art in style, inspiration is derived from Picasso's cubist technique and abstract sculptor Brancusi's depictions of strength through simplification.

Born in 1977, Rachel has called Florida home for the past 18 years. A self taught painter, she excelled in drawing, ceramics, and print making while studying fine art at Stetson University. Although art can serve as an escape, her artistic expression is embraced as an endeavor to share a thought and potentially provoke reflections of encouragement and optimism.
